Darrell: The rod arrived yesterday evening. I am extremely pleased. It is as you described totally, I don't think it ever went near the water... Its almost too beautiful to use... Fishing with bamboo is far superior to fishing with most graphite rods. Also, I wanted to tell you that I like your descriptions and write -ups on eBay. I cast it with DT 6 and 7 lines and can't decide which I like best yet. As you said it is a very powerful rod, but it still has delicate tips. It is the rod I will use to silence the graphite guys. This rod is in fine condition and well worth the money. It appears to have received a professional varnish overcoat at some point in its history and the reel seat and cork have had some attention. This is to be expected in a rod of this age and quality. I shall probably have anothr tip crafted for it if I can find a local maker/restorer that can match the color, wraps, and action of the rod. Overall, the rod is exactly as advertised. I am very satisfied and I appreciate your honest and forthright business ethic. James A. I
